South Cheshire College is the home of post-a6 education in Crewe and Nantwich and one of the leading tertiary and sixth form colleges nationally. It is located on a single campus situated in a residential area about one and a half miles from Crewe town centre and a 15-minute walk from the train station.

The history of Crewe is closely linked with the railways and its rapid development during the 19th century as one of the world’s greatest railway workshops, building elegant locomotives that brought wealth and prestige to the town.

Crewe, these days, has a lot more to offer than just trains. There’s a thriving live music scene, as well as a range of shops, cinemas, the award winning Crewe Lyceum Theatre, a bowling centre, bars, pubs, restaurants and the famous Crewe Alexandra Football Club. There is something to do in Crewe for every taste!

Travel to Crewe – Crewe is easily accessible by road, rail and air.

If you are travelling by car, Crewe can be reached via the M6 motorway (Junction 16 from the South or Junction 17 from the North)

By train, Crewe station is one of the largest stations outside London and a main junction on the West Coast rail line. London can be reached in approximately 1hr and 30 minutes and Manchester, Chester and Liverpool in 30 minutes. Direct and indirect links with other large cities such as Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow makes Crewe a great place to study and explore the rest of the UK during holidays and weekends.

By air, Manchester International Airport is the most convenient choice for our international students as it takes around 40 minutes to get to Crewe by car or train with a regular direct train service. We offer a free airport pick up service to our long term students when they arrive for the first time. Other popular airports are Liverpool, East Midlands and Birmingham.
