The Health and Wellbeing Centre (W.016) offers a number of services to support students during their time at College:
The Counselling Service offers one to one sessions and drop-ins to any student or member of staff who needs confidential, professional support with personal issues. The service operates Monday-Wednesday from 9am-3pm, and Thursday-Friday from 11am-2pm. Both counsellors are members of the BACP and abide by their Code of Ethics and Practice. Appointments can be made by dropping into the Wellbeing Centre, or by approaching a Tutor, who can refer you for an appointment.
Cheshire East’s Stop Smoking Advisor is in College on Wednesday from 9.15-12.15, and can offer help and support to staff any students who want to give up smoking, including prescribing Nicotine Replacement Therapy (e.g. patches, chewing gum etc.) Please call into the Wellbeing Centre to make an appointment.
The College offers a sexual health and advice service, provided by Body Positive, who run drop-in clinics twice a week on Tuesday from 11.30am-1.30pm and Thursday from 2-4pm. Students can access advice on all aspects of sexual health, including contraception, testing for sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy testing and sexuality/gender issues.
