How and When to Enrol

Enrolment will take place at the campus where you’ve applied to study, and you’ll need to allow about two hours for the process, though it’s usually quicker than this!

 

We’re looking forward to welcoming you and helping you begin your journey at South Cheshire College. The exact process may differ depending on the type of course you’re about to start, so for more details please take a look below:

If you have already applied and been offered a place you will have received a letter in the post inviting you to your enrolment session and telling you which campus to enrol at.

If you haven’t applied yet you can drop into our enrolment/advice days at the following days and times.

Full time enrolment is due to take place on the following dates:

Thursday 24th August from 10.00am until 6.00pm

Friday 25th August from 10.00am until 4.00pm
Please note it is likely that Friday will be the quieter day.

Please contact Admissions if you are unable to attend either of these dates on 01270 654631/630

Please bring the following items with you:
• ALL your exam certificates – including those from early entry
• Some form of identification – eg Passport / Birth certificate
• Your portfolio if you are applying for an art based course

If you are 19 YEARS OF AGE OR OVER on the 1 September 2017 please also provide:
• National Insurance Number
• Evidence of benefits if fee remission is required
• Evidence of Higher Education, Advanced Learning Loan or employer sponsor letter where applicable
• A form of payment – eg cheque / bank card

Part time enrolment is due to take place on the following dates:

Wednesday 30th August from 10.00am until 7.00pm
Saturday 2nd September from 10.00am until 2.00pm
Saturday 9th September from 10.00am until 2.00pm

Please bring the following items with you:

• Some form of identification – eg Passport / Birth certificate / Driving licence
• Your National Insurance number
• Evidence of benefits if fee remission is required
• Evidence of Higher Education, Advanced Learning Loan or employer sponsor letter where applicable
• A form of payment – eg cheque / bank card

ESOL courses are offered at different levels to meet the specific needs of learners, starting at Pre-Entry level for those who cannot read, write or speak any English, right through to Level 2 which is equivalent to GCSE level English.
When you come in to enrol, you will firstly have an interview with a tutor and take an Initial Assessment test to determine your overall level of English. You will then be put onto the most suitable class for your level.

ESOL enrolment is due to take place on the following dates:

Wednesday 30th August from 10.00am until 7.00pm
Thursday 31st August from 10.00am until 4.00pm
Saturday 2nd September from 10.00am until 2.00pm
Saturday 9th September from 10.00am until 2.00pm
