The Wellbeing Centre (W.016) offers a number of services to support students during their time at College:
The Counselling Service offers one to one sessions and drop-ins to any student or member of staff who needs confidential, professional support with personal issues. The service operates during term time, Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Both counsellors are members of the BACP and abide by their Code of Ethics and Practice. Appointments can be made by dropping into the Wellbeing Centre, or by approaching a Tutor/Personal Development Tutor, who can refer you for an appointment.
The Wellbeing Centre can refer to Cheshire East’s Stop Smoking Advisor who can offer help and support to staff any students who want to give up smoking, including prescribing Nicotine Replacement Therapy (e.g. patches, chewing gum etc.) Please call into the Wellbeing Centre for more information.
The College offers a sexual health and advice service, provided by Body Positive, who run drop-in clinics twice a week on Tuesday from 11.30am-1.30pm and Thursday from 2-4pm. Students can access advice on all aspects of sexual health, including contraception, testing for sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy testing and sexuality/gender issues.
