South Cheshire College and West Cheshire College is celebrating another year of excellent results for Level 3 Vocational subjects. The overall pass rate for students across its Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Chester campuses was 99.6%, with 57.4% achieving a distinction or distinction star grade and 47.2% of students achieving D*D*D* to DDD.

The College will be holding a drop-in session for those students who are due to receive their GCSE exam results this week (24 August 2017).

The College will be open and offering impartial advice, guidance and support across all three campuses.

The drop-in sessions will be held over two days on results day, Thursday 24th August from 10am to 6pm, and the following day, Friday 25th August from 10am to 4pm.

Students receiving their GCSE results can drop in to receive information on all curriculum areas, from higher education to business, sports, arts, science, construction and engineering and more. The team will be on hand to provide details on the various courses available and advice on career progression.

Lee Smith, Deputy Principal at the College said: “The forthcoming GCSE exam results day can be an exciting but equally worrying time for students.

“That is why our drop-in sessions can be both valuable and informative, supporting those who are struggling to decide on what to do next, don’t have a progression route in place or perhaps didn’t gain the results they expected.

“Our excellent team of staff are available to help guide and support students throughout this overwhelming time. We encourage students to stop by if they are in anyway unsure about their next steps and we guarantee they will be greeted by a friendly face.”
